I believe research is an act of discovery. In research it seems as though you are always looking for things you don't know about so it is obviously discovery. Researching isn't the act of looking for things you already know about because why do the research if it is something you know. Research digs you deeper into any subject that you are trying to find. Even though you are looking for one certain thing, you may find something else that you had know idea related to that topic. It can then lead you into discovery of something else. Research is a great way to discover things you often aren't ready to find. It brings you to bigger and better things a lot of the time.
