Now, consider the truth of some other statements, listed below. These statements have less
to do with research papers than with how you see facts, information, and knowledge and how
they're created. As is the first exercise, choose one of these statements to launch a seven
minute fastwrite. Don't worry if you end up thinking about more than one statement in your
writing. Like before, start by writing whether you agree or disagree with the statement, and
then explore why. Continually look for concrete connections between what you think about
these statements and what you've seen or experienced in your own life.
