Yes I agree with you that by seeing the dead end jobs of their neighbors and families the HH see no where to go and then adjust their expectations accordingly. I believe also that the conditioning of the schools of the lower class help to support that, by preparing the people for the jobs that is most likely to become their livelihood. This is true for the middle and upper class as well, because the setting that you have been placed into in life tends to determine the outcome. Some people tend to just have the better end of the stick. People need to realize that not everyone has the same equal opportunities. People need to be more educated on that matter so that something can be done to change this unequal setting. Maybe then everyone can have a chance at "makin' it".
