we are learning there is no earning of a
good job through education for the
majority. We have learned that your
parent's income bears more on where
you will end up when you grow up. We
are also learning that the American myth
of "If you just put your mind to it..." is a
complete lie. There are no statistics that I
have seen in this whole course that
support this myth. Rather, we have read
over and over again that the use of this
myth benefits the upper classes by giving
the lower classes a false consciousness.
