I agree with you that schools should stop teaching below their students level and to teach the children to aspire high, but what about their home lifes. When a child comes from a family that belongs to the lower class and is possibly raised with those ideals that they cannot aspire to much more, then what good are the schools teachings when they are already conditioned to reject it. Or even their peers for that matter, what happens when they are being made fun of for not conforming to their surrounding ideas of what is made "popular" for their particular place in society.

I'm not saying this is right but it is something to think about. Any thoughts or comments?
