Gans has not really changed my view of the poor too much.

I agree with Amy that perhaps now I wouldn't consider myself "poor".

Gans does a good job of validating his points but I believe that people can raise up out of poverty with assistance or without assistance. I do not believe that all poor people are criminals, wealthy people just get away with more (it seems).
