The reserve army of labor are the people who are at the poverty line and well below it. They are the poor and the extremely poor who are not working. Which makes up of millions of people that could be utilized, but they are not due to lack of opportunities and job availability. In times of recession they are hit the hardest because they have nothing to fall back on, which means they are left homeless and hungry. Ultimately, if things persist, they are doomed and soon will be abolished and forgotten. While corporations and small business try to be more cost effiencient by replacing people with machines. Unemployment will continue to increase and the old saying is true that the rich will continue to get richer and the poor will continue to be unrightfully poor.
