Hello Shaunasi,

I like salary caps but then all that does is give the money to the corporation that hires these people. The salary cap in the NBA just ads to the owners bottom line. It's less money he has to pay the players, he will not drop the price for the fans, he will just pocket it. It seems to me that a lot of people are mad at rich people and especially Bill Gates when he made all the money on his own, he did not get it in a trust fund or inheritance.
I think the focus is in most of these forums is misguided. If you were hired as CEO of a large company at 10 million a year with a signing bonus would you call the government and ask you to take half of what you earned?
If they would take it, they wouldn't spend it on the poor.
The "vice president" of Coca Cola used to be a school teacher and now he's rolling in the dough. He defiantly worked his way up and deserves what his employer is willing to pay him.
Corporate America's goal is to earn more money for the stockholders. The board of directors have the stockholders in mind when they hire the CEO. The CEO's job is to maximize profit to make everyone else happy.
Of coarse the CEO will probably be rich but why go after his small amount of cash where there is all that corporate money?
Well I've rambled on too long and can not remember the other question. I will get to it later.

Tom
