I think that this is where I am supposed to post my answers.
1. Looking at the table I see that for the lowest quintile the income over the years never really goes up throughout the years and for the second, third and fourth they decline until 1997. When you get to the highest quintile their income increases year after year.
4. There are 6 levels of social class according to the order model. They range from the lower-lower class to the upper-upper class. I think that the order model is more insightful. I think that to focus on prestige and occupation means more that the group of similar occupations. My family would fit into the lower middle class and the working class.
6. Culture is a dependent variable, this means that the persons culture is going to influence their social class and that there culture plays an important role in their life.
