That is not fair at all.
What is the point in being successful if you have to give all your money to the government who'll just blow it on pay raises for themselves.
I think everyone should pay a percentage of their income. That way if someone makes $10,000.00/year with a 20% tax would pay $2,000.00 and if someone made $10,000,000.00/year they would pay $2,000,000.00. I think that's plenty fair.
Taxes are already used unfairly. Why do my tax dollars go to public school when I do not have kids and will never have kids? I should be able to say where I want my tax money to go, perhaps to help Vets.
