Deontology,
Reason produces one result in moral deliberation, decision making.

Conscientious Nazis are impossible if the Nazi really thinks about his acts.

Criticism: Kant underestimates the influence of culture or moral beliefs.

Moral action reason winning out over selfish desire.

Universal law formulation of moral law:
1) Can I imagine a world where everyone did it?

2) If everyone murdered there would be no one left so murder would be irrelevant.
3) If everyone broke promises no one would accept promises so they would be meaningless.
