Deontology-
deon: rule
-Morality is a matter of following a set of exceptionless rules which describes rights and responsibilities (duties).
-Motive is important (It is everything).
-Morality=doing your duty because it is your duty.
-Main motive must be duty (because it's right).
-Having a good will, right motive, good intentions.
-A good is the thing which is intrinsically good.
-Egoism is true with regard to desire. Morality is motivated by reason.

Possible other intrinsic goods-
1. Happiness- evil people don't deserve happiness.
2. Intelligence- evil genius
3. Wit/Humor

Morality is intuited (discovered) through pure reason

Shopkeeper Example: 3 motives of honesty-
1. Natural (Direct) Inclination- he is a nice guy, likes being honest.
2. Indirect Inclinations- wants to avoid trouble with the law and lost business.
3. Duty- it's wrong to cheat customers.

(#1 & 2 deal with Desire, #3 is morally praise worthy)
