Helping others when you receive no benefit is wrong, stupid, and irrational.

An example is Gyges' ring. This example was told to show that a morally just and unjust person would act the same when there is no fear of consequence.

Altruism: It's sometimes necessary to do things for others when it's not in your best interest.

Advantages for ethical egoism:
