At the risk of being "lashed" I have this to say in response:

It seems to me that if a "white" person were to say that they would rather not be a "person of color" they would be considered a "racist". However, if a "person of color" says that they would rather not be white it is because they are proud of their heritage and proud of the color of their skin. I put these descriptions in quotations because I somehow find it difficult to classify people this way. In my opinion, we are all just people no matter what color our skin happens to be.
