There still my friends but just mooch friends. One is a grad student at U of O but would rather spend his money on cd's and beer. The other would rather work the least amount possible and get food stamps, what he can't get there, he gets from his parents.
Neither one of them are really poor, they just do not care to work hard and will take anything they can get for free.
I do not spend that much time with them but they're still my friends. I do not plan on kicking them to the curb just because they're bums.
As for Bill Gates, if I were him, I'd do some sort of James Bond thing and try to take over the world from some underwater palace or inside a volcano. Even if it got me killed, it would be a fun way to go out.
It's his money and he doesn't owe anyone anything. I do not buy things hoping that the owner of the company will give me a kickback. He should repay his customers by providing high quality service and selection at a reasonable price.
