I'm glad things have worked out well for you and your family:) I'm thankful for the good excessively wealthy people do in this world. I give them credit for all their hard work and all the honest decent respectable non corrupt ways they have earned there excessive wealth. I don't know whether Bill Gates gained his excessive wealth honestly or by thievery or a little of both, so I can't say definitively one way or the other. I do know that Bill Gates and others who are excessively wealthy need to be doing more to help others, this remains to be my unwavering personal opinion. I think everyone no matter who they are can claim a good attitude and work to do the very best they can do, with integrity, in their circumstances, no matter what they may be. I think some are trying to do the best they can, maintain a positive attitude, and honestly work to succeed happily in their lives and give to others reasonably, kindly, and lovingly, and some may not be and need to be.
I'm not for a second discounting the precious good any excessively wealthy person does in any one's life. Every life saved and every life improvement for the true good of one, of all; by God carried out by others is wonderful. I am glad Bill Gates has used his excessive wealth in your family's case for extreme good.
I hope many many more will be afforded Bill Gates monetary etc. assistance in their time of need.
I'm not only singling Bill Gates out. Bill Gates is used as an example since he is known as one of the most excessively wealthy persons on the planet. I think every excessively wealthy person needs to be giving more. I do a work study at a local elementary school, and I see how much school's need help, need funding etc., need support to educate our children well. I'd love to see these excessively rich people give more to school programs. I know that I've seen plenty of parents and other concerned members of this community giving their valuable time to help our schools survive and thrive. I think of how very much our community already gives to our schools and how very much is still needed and how many good programs are cut because there isn't enough money to keep them running, then I think what about all these excessively wealthy people. Why isn't more of the money that the monetarily wealthiest people hold distributed among our society more. I think excessively wealthy people are extremely greedy persons at some point who horde their money, save it, get all the tax breaks(when they do good for another monetarily, they get a tax write off and break for there deed often, I think) and laws in their favor so they never really lose money, they invest their money, and are often involved in legal corporate, big business crimes, money laundering, justice system and IRS crime but for the people who have all this money thus control and are running everything, nothing is illegal for them or certain acts or practices for them are not called illegal but the same acts done by a non-excessively rich persons in our society could easily be called illegal.
I also think that the character of some very excessively persons is marked by thriftiness, true hard work, caring, integrity, and all the other good qualities one could name a person. Many excessively wealthy people may be very good, stellar people, with big hearts, a witty mind, extreme intelligence and business savvy, excellent people skills, winning personalities, etc. etc.
They may not have a criminal bone in their bodies deemed illegal or legal(even though their accountants or another of their employees may!) yet they still have a stronghold on our society's money and resources and aren't managing them well enough. I don't have all the answers and am not pro porting to. I do think I arrive at some good solutions and good suggests sometimes though.
I apologize if my view offends you, but I really am put off by the imbalance of wealth in our country and am appalled that monetary wealth is not managed, or distributed well or efficiently in our country and in our world.
I'm always very continually grateful for all good done by all in our country and in our world always. I am also thankful for great spiritual wealth.
