Today's e-mail answered most of your questions, but let me elaborate a bit. You're obviously right that we fell behind, due mainly I think to the windstorm and other problems students had in taking the test. I think my hope of getting students in an asynchronous class "in sync" to read the MacLeod book was overly optimistic (of course, it didn't help that many were still trying to get in to take the test, and so were still studying for it).

The only thing we can do at this point, I think, is to give us some more time for the MacLeod book, and to reduce some of the readings for Section D and E. To catch up and make this work, people will have to start reading and discussing the MacLeod book at a quick pace.
