I agree with monica in that being born as an untouchable is a no win situation because in India they do not have a chance to become part of a higher class until death, which results in reincarnation. I have to say that the belief that what you do during your present life determines what you will become in your rebirth is unique. Here in America I feel that many people do not take responsiblity for their actions and in India you are demanded to excell so you can be rewarded.
