I really don't like the system but it is sort of like here in the United States. Not a lot alike but kinda. I think that it is like here because here when a child is born into poverty, they most likely won't get as much as a child who is born into a wealthy family. The book says that "birth into a particular family determines ones destiny" and I think that that is something that happens all over. If my parents had a social position where they were respected then I think that I too would be respected. I know that it is much different there the way that they do things but I thought it had that one similarity to the U.S. or anywhere...
