I should have expanded on what I was saying. I do look at stars who commit crimes, etc. to be above those on the Springer show. I do not watch "high class" shows filled with incest, bigotry, violence, etc. and walk away with a warm feeling inside. I don't base my opinions about people on what they wear or how much money they make. I'm sure, back in the day, Springer included guests who were of a higher class (appearance wise, anyway, but what do we really know about them?) and I would have thought they were trash, too, if they conducted themselves in the manner we've become accustomed with that show. I understand that the rich can be of low morals and education, too.
