Reading your "what trash" comment, I
couldn't help but think of an argument to
your comment (I have a debate hungry
side). Many people on the Jerry Springer
Show appear to be in the low income
group (the low of the low). The attitude of
"what trash" is exactly the attitude of lower
class people having lower morals than
others. Which fits into a very bigoted
Culture of Poverty hypothesis (p 246). I
am assuming you did not realize this or
correlate it to class stereotyping, but I
think you have just exposed a streak that
society gave all of us. While we can
watch a "high class" show full of rape,
incest, adultery, crime, murder, etc at night
or watch a movie FULL of it and walk
away entertained....... we see the same
things in lower classes and think they are
trash, but not our favorite movie star or
show star.

Just something to think about....
