What if the people of India are right? While I do not agree with the severity in which the Indians enforced social position (leaving absolutely no room for change or growth), I cannot say that reincarnation is deceptive or wrong. I have not died, therefore, I do not know what happens when one dies.

I am not religious. I look upon the caste system as I do many other organized religions. I cannot understand why anyone would want to identify oneself with a group. One of the supposed wonderful aspects of living in America is freedom: Freedom of thought, action, and religion. It is not the beliefs of many organized religions that turns me off, but the mass grouping and sub grouping that so often leads to exclusion, confusion, and sometimes violence.

I certainly understand what it means to live by a certain set of rules and values. I do not stray from my personal ideals of respect, honesty, determination, friendship, or compassion. At the same time, I do not force my ideas on others, no matter how correct I deem them. I am not going to tell people to live my way, because it is just that, MY way.

Some people live their lives in order to go to heaven. Some people wish for their ashes to be spread over the ocean when the end comes. Still, another group believe they will be reincarnated and live their lives with a particular goal in mind. I can only say that none of these quests are absurd, wrong, or silly. They are nothing but unique and I cannot put someone down for believing ANYTHING.
