What a mouth full Shaunasi!! One thing I
have hoped for is that by taking online
courses my typing speed would increase.
I am a big talker in classes with
discussion, but I have learned that I really
had a whoooole lot to say before, or my
typing speed is still struggling... it's
probably both.

I think that what we need for the change
Shaunasi spoke of is a class
consciousness. Did you guys know that
America is one of the only countries not
divided into class political parties? I did
not realize the existence of this or its
importance until I took a PS class at the
UO. We have been taught to look to race
to separate ourselves as well as religion.
As a Christian, I know it is very important
to pray about voting and parties, but I also
find it interesting that some Christians
think that if someone is a Republican they
should vote for that candidate...the name
David Duke comes to mind when I think
of the dangers of that mentality...

I hope that America develops class
consciousness and forms parties around
that because that would help people to
stop seeing everything on such an
individual level. Although I believe
reparations are still due to African
Americans and Native Americans as
racial groups, our political system needs
to reform into classes to get real change
started. Right now the rich are getting
richer and the poor poorer. I am
concerned that there is more money in
savings accounts and on people's wrists
than in the monthly pay checks of those
with multiple jobs to feed their families.
