I agree with both of you (Monica and Jim).
I have a hard time when scientists look at
a population in our country and make
conclusions that claim there is one factor
or a one sided factor that leads to that
group's situation.

I took a psych class and it seems like
there are too many factors in society that
affect the outcome of a person's life to be
able to say "you are dumb because you
are black."

I would just love to take the children of the
Bell Curve supporters and swap schools
with poor blacks and watch them shake
as test scores and grades started to
come out.

Resource shares are too unequal to put
the blame on a specific race or gender.
Our society is far too unequal to make any
concluding studies like the arrogant men
did in the Bell Curve (I wonder what it is
like to attend one of the author's classes(I
could not find which one it is))...."I would
like all of the students to stand up and sit
in order of skin color...whitest up front by
me and the darkies in the rear. I use this
seating arrangement so that none of us
waste our time or racial potential, or
disfunction as it may be."
