Two reasons for delay of Jesus'
coming....

1. God doesn't meassure time the
same way we do. One day might equal
one thousand years for God.

2. Need extra time for everyone to
repent, in other words, God is giving us
more time because he wants all humans
to repent.

-Repent means to turn around from
sin.

a. sorrow

b. turn over a new leaf
(metaphor)

 

Jesus claims to be...

a. Son of God

b. Son of man (Messiah,
Christ)

-God is Jesus' father therefore he
doesn't have a biological father.

 

Trinity

The word trinity doesn't appear in
the New Testiment but the concept is
there implicitly.

-Three persons are called God in
the New Testiment

1. The Father, God (John
1:1-14)

2. The Son, Jesus

3. The Holy Spirit (Act 5:3)

 

Contridiction...

Chritians believe that there is only
one God, however they also believe in
Trinity.

They reason this by stating that the
three persons are the one God.

~three conscienceness , one
divided essance.

 

-The incarnation-the word becomes
flesh

 

ETERNAL LIFE

How do you recive Eternal
Life?

According to the Gospel of Mark, he
says fallow commandements and have
faith in God/Jesus?

-Gospel of John- Repent for sins,
believe in Jesus, believe that Jesus died
for our sins, Love God/Neighbors for God
is love (John 3:16).

John also says you need to be born
again, this menas that you need to be
spiritually born again.
