I agree with you about medical marijuana. It is a good age old medicine. Marijuana has so many good uses. I'm glad that medical marijuana is legal some places now. I don't like it when people misuse medical marijuana. I think people ought to work to live within the law and civil and humane decentcy yet I definitely think our society ought to work to change laws which are not in the best interests of our society as a whole but only in the exclusive interests of government and big business.
I think that medical marijuana was generated by the government and the AMA/Pharmacuticals. I think the government & AMA see a way to turn a good profit instead of just helping people in generating medical marijuana. I think that individuals ought to take personal control over their marijuana use. I think marijuana ought to become legal like alcohol, when used responsibly it can be alright but when used in excess it can be harmful. The government makes too much money now filling jails with large numbers of non-violent criminals who are arrested for smoking marijuana and the government also makes money off the illegal drug trade, black market on drugs. I do think making marijuana legal in total would make it a safer herb, because individuals could monitor the growth and wellbeing of their plants instead of just picking up some crappy weed from the black market and I think besides being safer, it would also reduce crime in the way that people wouldn't be out jonesing for it and stealing it because they can't grow their own. Marijuana has so many uses: textiles, oil etc. etc. If marijuana became legal for everyone, so many big businesses would be in jeopardy of going under that the government won't allow it. See, if the government believed in the idealism of the many benefits of marijuana, everyone would be allowed to grow it at their own discretion and it would be legal but the government is into the materialism of it all and so will only introduce it into our society in ways that they can make good money off it. I haved mixed views about this topic personally. I think our society needs rules for people who won't responsibly act and make use of things but I think the rules about marijuana and so many other good things are just constructed by the government to serve the personal interests of government and big business instead of all the hardworking people of society at large.
I don't condone recreational marijuana though in my life spiritually and actually in my life, and don't want any part of it or want it around me used in recreational ways, illegally and excessively. I think it would be great if I could grow marijuana for textiles and so many other reasons as well as for medical marijuana uses for persons who really needed it. Maybe it would be good to have some regulatory controls on the growing of marijuana for sale so we could know that the marijuana we were to buy from individual farmers would meet say FDA standards or something but even the FDA can be wrong and corrupt. What does one do. If marijuana was legalized by our government it would probably be highly taxed or something. Our government would find some way or another to make money off it. Our nation is so greedy and displays so much out of control capitalism but is the guess country going currently I guess, or the only one I know, so I may as well work to make the best of it, and do my part to make this the best darned country and society on earth since I'm a part of America and our society here. I'm glad for all the people who are helped by medical marijuana in a good ideal way even though our government seems to approach medical marijuana in a materialistic with the goal of making money off medical marijuana. It's greed I guess or ignorance or fear. Maybe all these.
Idealism has to be balanced well with material realities somehow. Hopefully, in better more idealist ways realistically, than not.
I wonder how Canada manages allowing people to grow marijuana legally, for industry use only I believe. I ought to find out. Well, I've said plenty for now, I'm sure.
