1. I would have to choose money, american currency, as a part of the U.S. culture. From the idealist thinking I believe that people think and believe that money is the answerer to everything. That if they work hard enough they will have what they want and that's more money. Americans are always thinking about money: How can they buy that car they want or the house. How they will pay the bills and buy food. Americans are continuously thinking how to get more money and how to spend the money they get. From the materlist view, money is an object that everyone wants and needs. Without it you are nothing. Money is the gateway to all the things you need and most importantly want. Americans will do almost anything to get money, they will work long hard hours, steal or even beg for money.

2. Hands down I think the marterialist way is the best explanation. I think this because america is very materialistic. We push ourselves and our children to work hard and make as much money as possible so we can buy whatever makes us happy. American in a since idol money.
