1. Conflict

2a: The conflict paradigm seems to explain the structure of the government/ large corporations more honestly. I am biased, however. I believe that the U.S. government and large corporations use their power to manipulate the populace.

2b: Evidence such as corporate welfare, the unwillingness to increase the minimum wage, the amalgamation of the media and the 2 party political system are just the tip of the iceberg as far in leading me towards a stronger belief in the conflict theory.

3a: The order paradigm is lesser in that the status quo has led, in my opinion, to a large amount of societal problems, giving evidence that our society is not harmonious.

3b: Societal problems include: Homelessness; high violent crime rates; unemployment or wages that are too low to live on; faltering educational system; abuse of the elderly, those that are mentally ill, physically or mentally disabled, gays and lesbians and other groups. These are all evidence to me that the societal system is not interested in keeping the populace harmonious.
