1) I find the conflict paradigm more insightful.

2a) The conflict paradigm seems to be the way our society works today. Power is not distributed equally in our society. Money, greed, values, inequality, and status have been the root behind most conflict. The text talks about race and how racial groups have been excluded and denied equal rights under the law. Although laws have been changed due to conflict, individuals and groups are still struggling.

2b) The conflict paradigm is supported by evidence of racism, religious differences and inhumanity throughout the word. In the mid-east conflict over holy land has not been resolved in negotiation it has continued in violence.

3a) Theoretically the order paradigm is inferior because it basis it's theory on society being equal. When cooperation and unity cannot be reach conflict begins.

3b) Empirical evidence disputing the order paradigm can be seen today. The U.S. is at war. We were attacked by a country that feels the U.S. has unequal power. Cohesion of the U.S. and many countries has come about because of the attack, but conflict is the result. If the U.S. had not been attacked this conflict would not be taking place.

4) I support the conflict paradigm because without change the U.S. would not have the freedom that we are willing to fight for today.
