a. Identify a social research question you are interested in.

I'd like to research the nuclear age family dynamics and how it has effected our youth. My research would include family situations at present and to what degree they may contribute to juvenile delinquency, as opposed to other influences.
Three of the main topics that I would focus on would be measured by percentage.
1) To measure the presence or absence of religious influence in each social group.
2) To measure the presence or absence of supervision per the average youth.
3) To measure the presence or absence of education of the average youth.

b. research methods:

First of all I would research history. My research questions concerning history would be directed at the statistics gathered before our present age and as far back as possible. I would also address the same issues concerning other counties and different cultural groups.

Then I would research statistics in our present age with the same focal points.

I would also conduct research by observation. In this I would conduct my own surveys in as many different cultural groups, counties and regions as possible.

Lastly, in order to add more credence to my research I would experiment. I could take the research I gained to form a hypothesis and use this information to study real people and whether or not my hypothesis was realistic or basically circumstantial.

This observational experiment would include many families from a variety of cultural groups. I would implement the different factors that correlated with low juvenile delinquency, to determine what I should use as my experimental variables. My control group would be many families from a variety of cultural groups. (reflecting the same sorts of groups as in the variable group) These would not change their lifestyle.

c. How would you use it?

I would use the information gained by this research to inform society in general about what works and what doesn't work to decrees juvenile delinquency.
