I have a question about the "take home" essay portion of our exam.

The more I study the conflict vs order paradigms, the more I am not so sure of which one is more insightful. Do we need to specifically choose one? Or can we illustrate why we believe them to be equally insightful? Or should we argue the reasons why we believe in their equality and then choose which one we prefer, even if we really don't believe it is more insightful?
