I don't see it being so hard for a society as a whole to get involved with kids. It seems like there are plenty of opportunities especially here in Eugene/Springfield. What about 1)community centers
2)sports 3)churches 4)volunteer or start groups in schools and communities which include kids 5)Get involved in Big Brother Big Sister groups and mentor kids 6)Host a foreign exchange student 7)society gets involved with kids via t.v. computers radios etc.
8)One group in town makes recording studios and musical equipment available for kids so kids can learn the music/recording business and have access, use of, and experience with these tools they need to become successful in this business; learn how to make cd's etc. and market them 9)My grandmother used to tutor her neighbor kids in their school studies.
Ask persons at the library or a local school about what you can do to become more involved with kids given your unique talents and interests. I'm sure the library and schools will come up with more ideas for you as to how our society can get more involved with kids.
I can appreciate your interest in how are society can get more involved with kids. Let me know what you learn.
I like these online discussion boards because I do think they're great for exchanging information, support, and getting to know eachother and form some good connections with eachother about our views on subjects in this course etc., at least for the duration of this course, or even longer in some cases.
I'm finding it a bit easier to be more clear in my response to your posting this time. I found my last response to your posting about kids and respect somewhat hard to get all the way through.
