TEST MANAGER SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Macintosh Computer with a 200 MHz PowerPC processor or higher Operating System 8.0 through 9.X At least 32 MB system RAM (64 MB recommended) At least 60 MB of available hard disk space Screen Resolution of 800 x 600 or higher Requires CD Drive and Printer PROGRAM INSTALLATION 1. Insert the TEST MANAGER CD into the appropriate drive. 2. Double-click the TEST MANAGER CD-ROM icon on your desktop. The TEST MANAGER dialog box will appear. Double-click the TEST MANAGER icon to launch setup. 3. Read the information message that appears and click Continue. 4. Select the location to install TEST MANAGER, and click Install to continue. The program files will begin installing (indicated by the timer bar). 5. An information message will appear, stating the install was successful. Click Quit to continue. 6. The installation process is complete. Remove the TEST MANAGER CD-ROM at this time. INITIAL LOGIN PROCEDURE This program is shipped with an initial user of "supervisor" status. One person may be designated as the initial supervisor who will be responsible for the setup of the supervisor, instructor, and TA accounts within the User Database. They are also responsible for creating and maintaining student information. Upon initial entry into the program, you will need to perform the following steps: 1. Launch Test Manager. A login dialog box will appear. When logging into the program for the first time, the following information should be used: USER ID: 1 PASSWORD: instructor Note: Although the initial User ID and Password cannot be deleted from the User Database, the information within this record can be edited. The person who acts as Supervisor should change the default password assigned to the account. Other users can be given "Supervisor" status by the initial Supervisor. Note: If you are experiencing difficulties with the export feature, the memory requirements for Test Manager can be increased to a value up to 20MB. To accomplish this, highlight the executable file "Test Manager" and select the Apple and the letter "I" simultaneously to obtain information on this file. Under the "Show" drop down box, select "Memory". In the box titled "Memory Requirements", change the "Preferred Size" value (default 10M) to a value up to 20M and close the box when finished. ADOBE READER INSTALLATION The user manual is included on the CD-ROM as an Adobe Acrobat file (PDF - Portable Document Format). This file can be read with Acrobat Reader. You may already have a copy of the Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If not, this CD contains a copy of Acrobat Reader for you to install. To install Acrobat Reader. 1. Insert the Test Manager CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. 2. Double-click the Test Manager CD-ROM icon on your desktop. 3. Double-click the Acrobat Reader installer icon and follow the on-screen instructions.
