Continue to send e-mail posts to the faculty, and otherwise keep talking with other faculty members about this issue.
Write letters to the Administration and board members, and CC the faculty by e-mail; Let them know how this would impact you, what you think about it, etc.
If you haven't yet done so, put a poster on your door showing your support for the Steps (obtainable from Jim Salt, x2433).
Plug in your current level, step, and years to retirement into the Step Losses spreadsheet (Step Losses.xls) to see how you are impacted by a failure to pay a step increase this year. Then print the results and post it on your door, and/or send it to the Administration and board members, letting them know how failure to pay you your step increase effects you.
Document how many hours over the 40 contracted week you work; then share this information the Administration, board of directors, and your fellow faculty.
Think of other creative ways to let the Administration and Board of Education know what you think about their failure to honor their promises and pay the faculty the steps we earned last year.
