The committee has already met with Jose, Steve, and Sharon to discuss minimum qualifications. One candidate did not meet minimum qualifications or submit a completed application. The two candidates the committee unanimously decided to interview did meet minimums. See Don McNair's comments... "after consulting with HR it was determined that the timeframe under consideration was until the "starting date" listed on the posting. This is not precedent setting as this is also done with faculty completing Masters or PhD's (with the stipulation that the degree must be completed by a certain date)" I am certain that the committee would not have been allowed to interview the candidates if Jose had not already signed off on them. A unanimous committee has forwarded its choice to the college for approval.
