make sure the sites directory is chmod 777
cd Sites
ls -Fla
see that file ./ has permissions 777

ALSO the data directory needs to be chmod to 777


when editing config.php, be sure NOT to have a wrap around line when you enter the instructor name

when editing config.php, be sure to remove the ~

be sure there is a .htaccess file at the root with rw-r--r-- permissions

changed homepage script to not allow / in classnames
changed php.ini on server to recognize line endings so grades.csv upload would work
