Meredith  here. 
No CRN is needed to work on your course while it is in development. I'm not sure if you've had a course in Moodle yet. If not the process is: 
1. Go to: http://moodle.lanecc.edu  
You'll notice this is for summer term. This address will always reflect the current term. If you need access to previous terms just type in the term and year you need access to, example follows. 
http://moodle.lanecc.edu/spring2006 
 
2. Login with L number and password 
 
3. Click on the link to COURSES located on the upper left of your Moodle screen 
 
4. At the bottom is the ADD A NEW COURSE button. fill out your course settings and make sure: 
CATEGORY is set to: COURSES IN DEVELOPMENT (hidden from student) 
AVAILABILITY is set to: THIS COURSE IS NOT AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS 
 
That's it. Hope this answers your question.

I'm working on a new online course called Nutrition for Foodservice Professionals.  I won't be teaching it until Winter so there's no CRN.  Do you need to create a shell for me or is ir somethng I can do.
