I wasn't going at it from the Admin Block. We got a 17 inch iMac. I was bummed that I couldn't use Claris Home Page any more. But a house guest right now reminded me of the Mozilla you showed me and I love it. The same guy uses WebCT where he teaches. They shifted this summer to the new WebCT. He likes it except for a few missng features. But it took him a bit of work to learn to use it. even though he had used WebCT quite a few years. You will see a list of students, a place to add your "berry" groups, and the way to assign students to each group. Then, when you create/edit a forum, you can choose the No Groups, Visible Groups, or Separate Groups option. When you choose separate groups, all students will post to the same forum (nice, because you only have to give your directions once, in a single forum), yet students will only be able to read and reply to posts from students in their OWN group. Of course, you, as instructor, will be able to see all posts at once, and/or be able to choose which single group posts you want to see (from a drop down menu with the group names).
