You're receiving this email because you chose to receive occasional notices
from Moodle.org when you registered your Moodle site.

Moodle 1.6.1 will shortly be released, and I thought you'd appreciate some
advance notice that among the many small fixes it contains are three
security-related fixes:

1) Protection has been added when unpacking maliciously-crafted zip archives 
2) Protection has been added to the help script to prevent malicious access to
some files that were not supposed to be accessible
3) Protection has been added to the quiz code to prevent access to exported and
imported questions.

Moodle 1.6.1 is available for download now from http://download.moodle.org. 
Upgrading is recommended.
