Any of you guys using repeating chats, by any chance?

I was trying to test whether all the problems with chat times being off due to DST were fixed. (They aren't. But more on that later.)

When I created a test chat, I set it to repeat every week. It doesn't show up on the calendar, except for the first time. It's possible, I guess, that the calendar only shows the most recent upcoming instance. But that's contrary to what it did in earlier versions. Changing the lookahead doesn't change this behavior.

Vis-a-vis the DST issue: I tried setting up a repeating event. When using server's time zone, it still did not correctly set the time after the DST switchover.

I went through the (wildly undocumented) machinations necessary to retrieve a new list of time zones. Set the server's time to America/Los Angeles. THEN, after I'd done that, I created a new repeating event. This time, it worked: the time was correct for all instances.

So: I'm guessing that we may need to think about events that have already been created; they may need to have their times adjusted. It's also possible we won' have to. I still need to do some more research on this (forcing the time zone, for example, may do what we need to do). I'll let you know what I find out.

But I would appreciate knowing if I'm simply doing somethign really dome that's causing my test repeated chats not to show up. I freely admit that this is a possibility. If you'd like to see what I'm doing, it's in the "Test quiz" course in the 'Courses to be deleted' category.
