Sharon,

There have been some issues with names not being updated this term.  It has to do with the fact that the course backup/restore procedures have been modified, and that many of the course restores for this term accidentally included student data.  Some of that data is several terms old.  When student accounts already exist, there is no way (as things work at present) for it to be updated, so any person whose name changed--say, over Christmast break--would have her old name in Moodle.

We are working toward getting more dynamic links working for next term, so that names, email, and enrollments are all automatically updated.

Incidentally, I'll be happy to change any student's name, if you can send me the old name, new name, and L-number.

Hello,

I think I've figured it out. I'm missing a student who was on my class list with the same first name, so evidently "she" (I'm assuming) has changed her last name. I'm just wondering why the new name didn't show up in Moodle. Oh, well, now I can live with it.
