Thanks for alerting me to that--I knew I'd forgotten to do something, and configuring the active Blocks and Modules was the thing I missed. There may very well be some things I'm still missing, but most settings are now what they were in Fall 2006. So I think that I've dealt with most of the things you mentioned. The one thing that gives me pause is the problem with groups. I'm going to do some experimenting and some research on moodle.org, but if having the instructor be a member of a group causes this problem intrinsically when the course is copied, I don't know if we're going to find a way around it. Unless Joe has some ideas from having coped with this before. I'm also going to be curious to see if it happens just with metacourses or with child courses as well. Are we ready to go there yet? Groups No big deal but some problems with transfer from a Meta course with Groups. the group info about me transferred. Even though no user data was transferred with backup I was still listed in a group. To delete myself I had to turn on Settings>Groups, go into the Admin>Groups, delete myself, delete all groups then go back to settings and turn off groups otherwise my Fake Student (who was not in a group) would not show at all. META Courses: Are there directions? PDF Link did not work. When using your form, my MT 101 (meta test) did not show up as a child course. So I went in and added via Admin>child courses and it worked - probably my error on creation of meta course but worth checking into.
