Joe,

Moodle WAS down during this weekend, on Sunday between 5:00 and 10:30 AM, so Rita has a legitimate complaint. Meredith wrote and called me about it. I responded to online when it was back up, and since I sent that email from moodleadmin, I assumed that everyone would have seen that message and knew about the outage.

What I didn't do was post a message on the server about the outage, and I probably should have done so. So that particular screwup is mine, and I apologize for it. I'm thinking that as a rule, I should probably post a message when there's been a known outage, so instructors can choose how to handle it when quizzes and assignments are due at a time when the server's unavailable for students to turn in work.
