Faculty webmasters and Beth,

There are a couple of things at work in this case.  The first is that it can sometimes take some time before a staff member is added to the Banner dump, particularly if that person is an instructor with no assigned classes.  The logic basically excludes folks who haven't had a paycheck in six months, for reasons that have never been clear to me.  So it may take a few days before Teresa's name is added.  

The above is NOT true when an instructor is officially assigned to a class in Banner.  Those accounts are included immediately in the Banner dump, and are therefore added very quickly to Moodle.

The other thing has to do with Moodle.  With LDAP authentication, accounts are generally not created until the user first logs in.  It's a little different with our installation, because I automatically add any students registered for courses in the present term and any instructors assigned classes in the current term.  For Teresa, her Moodle account will probably not be created until she tries to log in, even after her account is created in LDAP, because she a) has no assigned courses this term; and b) is not a student in any existing course.  So once her account gets created in LDAP, she can log in and her account will be created, and Beth can add her as an instructor.

Beth: if it's been a couple of days and Teresa hasn't yet appeared, let me know, and I'll see if I can speed up the process of getting her account created.
