Patricia,

There seems to be an issue with quizzes that use random questions, where the questions are lost in the backup-restore procedure.  In the previous case, I created a new quiz for the instructor, copied the settings, and then re-added random questions exactly like what he had before, and it worked fine.  I did something similar for you: I created a new quiz 2, called "Quiz 2-version 2," with the same number of questions from the same categories,  and left it hidden.  My suggestion would be to delete your existing Quiz and replace it with the new quiz I created.  In the mean time, I can investigate to try to find out exactly what is going on.
