Andrea,

Mail to moodleadmin comes to me (much like online goes to the faculty webmasters, but in this case, the responsibility isn't shared). So it is a valid support address. I wasn't trying to carp about you using the moodleadmin address, actually--it was more just pointing out the online address and the division of labor between the two. Basically, I'm responsible for the server and for the connections to Banner (making sure it's up, making sure the link to Banner is working), but also for making sure that bugs get quashed when they're identified. So it was perfectly appropriate to cc: me on this problem, and in general, if you're in doubt, go ahead and do that. I just won't be able to help you much with questions about how to use Dr. Wiltfuringler's new Enhanced Gradebook Widget Plus--I'm still learning some of the features of Moodle from the instructors' and students' standpoint.

David

David -

I'm sorry, I thought moodleadmin@lanecc.edu was the support address we
were given during in-service and not a person's address. I'll forward
this to online@lanecc.edu.

This sort of division of labor information is very helpful, but not
readily available to part-timers.

Andrea,

I think the faculty webmasters prefer you to send requests for help to
online@lanecc.edu rather than their individual email accounts. I've
forwarded this on to them. Just FYI, there's a general division of
labor between the stuff that I handle--generally issues with creating
courses, enrolling students, and logging in--and questions about
features and so forth, which they generally handle. In this instance, I
think it was a good idea to forward it to us both.

David

Moodle -

A couple people emailed me today because they got 0 on lab 4 and/or
vocab 4.

When I looked at them, they were uploaded while I was away from the
computer. I didn't grade them. I wasn't in Moodle at the time. They also
had no comments from me. I usually at least put in "done" so I know I
graded the assignment.

I don't know if this is a new Moodle glitch or what.

I do not use 0 except at the end of the term. A redo gets a 1 or 2, and
I always include a note.

Has anything been changed recently that would cause this? It's causing
quite a stir with my students.
