If you log in and don't see a course of yours there, please let me know. Presently, students aren't enrolled; as usual, they will be added some time on Friday of break (June 22), and they'll be allowed to log in starting Monday, June 25, at 12:01 AM. A couple of things to bring to your attention. First: we had a LOT of problems this term with malfunctioning quiz questions, so please verify that your questions are working before you make your quizzes public. The best way to do this is to create a fake quiz after you've imported any questions; add every question, in every category, to that quiz; preview the quiz; and then delete it if everything's working. You don't need to look closely at every single question; you just need to scroll quickly through looking for error messages (like "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object" or "Error: Missing question options"), and if you see any, contact me so I can isolate the problem. If you're not sure how to do any of this, get in touch with me. It's particularly important to verify questions if you use random questions or import them from WebCT or Blackboard test banks. Second: Summer term courses have a wide variety of start and end dates, so you may need to adjust the course start date and the number of weeks to fit your course. You can do that on the course settings page (set the course start date and then further down the page, set the number of weeks/topics). Third: if you need to work on courses for future terms (Fall or Winter), put them in the "Courses under development" category in Summer term; when the Fall 2008 instance is made available, you can then back them up and restore them to that instance. Finally, just a reminder: IT reserves Friday evenings from 6:00 to 10:00 PM for time to do maintenance work on our servers and applications, so if at all possible, please avoid making tests or assignments due during that time. We will never schedule a Moodle outage without telling you about it (I'll email you and post a notice on the Moodle front page), but due to software upgrades that we're doing this Summer, we'll be having more scheduled outages on Fridays than we have in the past.
