Well, I figured out why people's child courses were disappearing from their metacourses.

It happens as a result of the restore.  Child course information is wiped out.  So having them assign child courses as part of the metacourse creation process is going to cause this problem.  I'm not really sure what to do about it.

I'm going to think about what to tell faculty, and whether to leave the existing metacourse management form in place.  I'll send out a note to faculty about it.
