Hi Joe, Meredith and Gloria-

I thought I sent this to you this morning, but I think I forgot to click "Send".

Thanks for all your help to Gloria, Joe and Meredith.  We really appreciate it.

I'm not sure why the "Practice Quiz" and "Exam 1" were empty shells while the "Unit Quizzes" have not been empty.  It could be that  I set them up to be a random selection of questions already asked, in the way you showed me last fall, Joe.  Maybe as things got changed during this term, it made that arrangement not work.

For the "Unit Quizzes", I've never used the "Shuffle" feature,  because I  have considered them to be more study questions, rather than quizzes.  Students get the questions before hand and do a lot of work with the material to prepare their answers. I wanted it to be easy and fast for them to submit their answers once they went online.  

Gloria, I think you prefer them to be more quizzes so you shuffle the questions, which  is a fine way to look at them.  It's just a difference in approach.  Your way may lead to them learning more.

So let me know if there's something I can do to help with Exam 1.
