Email addresses are case-sensitive (according to the specification), but it typically doesn't matter--an ISP will generally not allow email addresses which differ only by the case of some of the letters.  So although it's theoretically possible that tnoah@comcast.net and TNoah@comcast.net are different addresses, it's unlikely.

I suspect that Thomas Noah probably entered an incorrect email address in ExpressLane (e.g., it's TNoah1@comcast.net or something like that).  Do you have any way to get in contact with him?  Through forums or some such?  (I note that the last time he accessed the class was eight days ago.)  If not, I think the only option we have is to make his email address blank, in which case he wouldn't receive email from you at all.  I don't feel very comfortable doing that but I guess it doesn't make much difference, seeing as he's not getting any email addressed to him as it is.

The capital letter should not affect an email address. Either way it appears it is a Comcast problem which Thomas needs to take care of via Comcast. I will email the Moodle Admin, David Walton, and see if there is anything on our side that can be done.
